About Graz University of Technology (TU Graz)

Graz University of Technology is a public research university located in Styria, Austria. It was founded in 1811 by Archduke John of Austria and is the oldest science and technology research and educational institute in Austria. It currently comprises seven faculties and is a public university.

Aim and Benefits of Master's Scholarships

• € 16,000 in total upon proof of success for a period of two years

Requirements for Master's Scholarships Qualification

• Proof of good academic achievements in the Bachelor's degree programme
• Admission to a Master's degree programme at TU Graz as of winter semester 2025/26 (For NAWI Graz Master's degree programmes, the main enrolment must take place at TU Graz.)
• Please note the individual requirements of the respective scholarships

Documents Required for Application

The complete application comprises the following documents (in German or English) and must be submitted as PDF documents:

1. Self written letter of motivation
   Describe, for example, why you want to study at TU Graz, why you are enthusiastic about the chosen degree programme and scholarship, which experiences you were able to gain during your school time, which special talents you bring along or what you would like to achieve in the future. Keep it as specific and personal as possible.
2. Curriculum vitae (CV)
3. Transcript of records
4. Bachelor's diploma if already available 
5. Two reference letters from teachers on official letterhead and with signature
6. Copy of passport
7. Applicant number at TU Graz
   You will receive the applicant number when pre-registering for your degree programme. If you are already registered at TU Graz: confirmation of study period.
