The University of Manchester is proud to offer awards totalling more than £1.7 million to international students, commencing their studies in September 2022. The scholarship is open to both prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students.
The University of Manchester, in its present form, was created in 2004 by the amalgamation of the Victoria University of Manchester and the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST). After 100 hundred years of working closely together both institutions agreed to form a single university, and on 22 October 2004 they officially combined to form the largest single-site university in the UK. 30 awards of £10,000 will be awarded based on academic excellence and the quality of your responses in the online application form.
Scholarships will be awarded in the form of an appropriate discount against published tuition fees.
Please note the application form will only be made to you once you have applied and been made an offer.
For the purposes of these awards, students will be considered from international fee-paying students from the following countries: Nigeria; Kenya, Ghana, Egypt, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa.

Applicants for the African awards must have accepted a conditional or unconditional offer to study a full-time programme at Manchester and must submit an online scholarship application form by 19 June 2022. The application form will be emailed to all eligible offer-holders and awards will be made by mid July 2022.
