International Atherosclerosis Society (IAS) Scholarships

The International Atherosclerosis Society (IAS), was formed in 1979 and organized as an educational public charity known as a 501(c)3 not for profit in the United States. The IAS Headquarters, now in Washington, DC, has grown into an organization representing 68 national organizations that are active in 57 countries and retains its position as an active member of the World Heart Federation (WHF). Many of the leading global organizations have collaborated under the the IAS umbrella and many can trace key touch-points in their growth in connection with the IAS .

Since inception, the IAS mission has been to improve international communication among global leaders, provided the underpinnings for the implementation of treatment guidelines, and disseminate education among practitioners in atherosclerosis research and clinical practice. As a collective organization of regional and national entities, we strive to coordinate our efforts, and align the capability of our constituent societies.
