Aim and Benefits of MTN mPulse Spelling Bee Competition

1st Prizes

• Student - MTN CEO for a Day, mPulse Face for the Year, 5million Naira scholarship grant, 1 laptop, 1 smartphone and mPulse goody bag.
• Teacher - 500,000 naira cash
• School - mPulse School intervention, 1CT Lab (10 laptops), 10 MTN 5G Broadband

2nd Prize

• Student - 2.5million Naira scholarship grant, 1 laptop, 1 smartphone and mPulse goody bag.
• Teacher - 300,000 naira cash

3rd Prize

• Student - 1.5 million Naira scholarship grant, 1 laptop, 1 smartphone and mPulse goody bag.
• Teacher - 200,000 naira cash

4th-10th Finalists

• 500,000 naira cash prize each and mPulse goody bag

11th-20th Finalists

• 200,000 naira cash prize and mPulse goody bag

Regional Prize

• 1,000,000 naira Reward - Top School participation per region (with the highest number of participants with a minimum of 100 participants

Requirements for MTN mPulse Spelling Bee Competition Qualification

Participation Rules: 
1. Open only to Nigerian students aged 9–15 in primary or secondary school.
2. Spellers must register as STUDENTS to participate.
3. Parents/guardians cannot participate on behalf of students
4. Practice quizzes are available – play as many times as you like!
5. Finalists (Top 20) must be on the MTN mPulse tariff plan.

Interview date, Process and Venue for MTN mPulse Spelling Bee Competition

Competition Stages: 
Round 1: 10 spelling questions – live on mpulse.mtn.ng.
Round 2: 20 spelling questions – also on mpulse.mtn.ng for shortlisted students only.

Regional Event: On-ground regional competition which will be held in Ibadan, Enugu and Abuja for shortlisted students only.

Grand Finale: Live event in Lagos, streamed online for everyone to enjoy!
