Aim and Benefits of BI Norwegian Business School Masters Scholarship
- The scholarship will cover tuition fees for up to 2 years of study following the standard study plan for a master’s degree.

Requirements for BI Norwegian Business School Masters Scholarship Qualification
- Applicants with strong academic records who hold Norwegian citizenship.
- Candidates must have a minimum overall GPA of 4.0 on the ECTS scale to be considered. Applicants with international education will have their grades converted to the ECTS scale by BI Norwegian Business School.
- Applicants who apply to and receive an offer of admission to the Master in Finance degree at BI Norwegian Business School.
- The Finansforbundet Master Scholarship is an externally sponsored scholarship. Applicants must be a member of Finansforbundet in order to be eligible to be considered for this scholarship.
- Only applicants seeking their first master’s degree are considered.
Interview date, Process and Venue for BI Norwegian Business School Masters Scholarship
Each year, the number of scholarship applications received from master’s applicants is far greater than the number of scholarships available.
- BI Norwegian Business School aims to build a diverse and international student body.
- Only applicants who have been admitted to a full-time master’s degree and have applied as instructed will be considered.
- Only the scholarship application and the documentation submitted at the time of application for admission are considered. No additional documentation is accepted once the application is submitted.
- BI ensures distribution of scholarships across full-time master’s programmes.
- BI reserves the right to award scholarships according to institutional priorities which may include, but are not limited to, prioritizing specific master’s programmes, diversity and gender distribution, or selected partner schools of BI.
- All candidates will be assessed according to the ECTS scale. Applicants with international bachelor's degrees will have their grades converted to the ECTS scale.
- Other factors that may influence awarding could be other academic achievements, GMAT/GRE/CAT scores, extracurricular achievements, and special personal achievements.

- Always apply for a scholarship at the same time as you apply for admission.
- Write a scholarship application letter specifically for this scholarship, maximum one-page, outlining why you should receive this scholarship. Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit, not on financial need.
- This scholarship is to be awarded to a member of Finansforbundet. As membership in Finansforbundet is an eligibility requirement for this industry-sponsored scholarship, applicants must self-identify as a member. Applicants must include their Finansforbundet membership number in their application letter and give BI consent to verify their membership status with Finansforbundet.
- Applicants must also include the following statement:
- I am currently a member of the Finansforbundet. I hereby give BI Norwegian Business School my consent to verify my membership in Finansebundet as a requisite to determining eligibility for consideration for the Finansforbundet Master Scholarship. My membership number is:
- Upload your application letter including the statement of consent to the section marked ‘Scholarship’ in your online application for admission.
- Include all the required documentation to be evaluated for admission to a full-time master programme. The scholarship application will only be considered if a complete application for admission has been submitted and the offer of admission is accepted.
