2026 Erasmus Mundus Copernicus Master in Digital Earth Scholarship

The two year full-time integrated European Master of Science programme aims at qualifying individuals to lead initiatives, projects and institutions translating Copernicus data and Earth observation services (remote sensing and in-situ) into management decisions within a broader Digital Earth vision. Copernicus Master in Digital Earth, proudly co-funded by the European Union, is a full, unconditional international accredited Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) programme by the Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Austria (AQ Austria). 

Study Earth Observation and Geoinformatics (EO*GI) in the first academic year. Two specialization tracks offer outstanding candidates a pathway towards excellence in GeoData Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI4EO) as well as GeoVisualisation and Geocommunication in the second year of studies. The Geographic Information Science / Systems (GIS) Master of Science programme is offered in English language.

Requirements for Erasmus Mundus Masters Scholarship Qualification

• In order to be admitted to the postgraduate programme, students must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a GEOSPATIAL discipline or from an equivalent programme at an internationally recognised tertiary educational institution, corresponding to at least 180 ECTS (6 semesters) and the admission by the CDE Erasmus Mundus consortium.
• Submitted graduation documents must be a certified copy. This is a duplicated version of an original document verified by an authorized individual from the university or certified by a local translators and/or reputable individuals recommended by the Austrian representation authorities (Embassy).
