The FirstRand Laurie Dippenaar scholarship provides South Africans with higher learning opportunities abroad. The FirstRand Laurie Dippenaar scholarship provides South Africans with higher learning opportunities abroad, contributing to their personal, academic, and career growth to develop leaders/innovators/out the box thinkers of the future who can drive and influence positive social and/or economic change. The scholarship is provided for studying towards a Masters or PhD in any field of choice.

The successful candidates will have excelled academically in their chosen field and will have been able to demonstrate: leadership qualities, strength of character, community involvement and potential to be a destiny changers in his or her chosen field.

Aim and Benefits of FirstRand Postgraduate Scholarship

• The FirstRand Laurie Dippenaar scholarship has a value of R1,5 million for Master degree and up to R 2 million for a PhD

Requirements for FirstRand Postgraduate Scholarship Qualification

• Preference will be given to candidates under the age of 35.
• Candidates who are currently, or have been studying overseas for degree purposes will not be considered for this scholarship.
• Successful candidates are required to return to South Africa for at least five years after completing their studies.
• What makes this scholarship different from most is not only the personal interest which Laurie Dippenaar takes in the selection process, but also his interest in the ongoing progress of the recipients.

The successful candidates will have excelled academically in their chosen fields and will have been able to demonstrate:–
