2026 The AFMA Women in Financial Markets Scholarship in Australia

The AFMA Women in Financial Markets Scholarship is to fund female-identifying continuing students studying Bachelor of Applied Finance and/or Bachelor of Commerce including any double degrees based on academic excellence. The scholarship is offered to two recipients per year and is valued at $10,000 (split across two sessions). 

AFMA are committed to fostering awareness and understanding among university students of the opportunities offered across Australia’s financial markets. Through a combination of scholarships and direct engagement, they strive to inform and inspire tertiary students to learn about the industry, the fulfilling career opportunities that are available in financial markets and the positive contribution that financial markets make to the broader economy. Recipients may be afforded the opportunity to experience aspects of working with an AFMA member to gain relevant industry experience.

Aim and Benefits of Undergraduate Scholarship

• $10,000 one off.

Requirements for Undergraduate Scholarship Qualification

• Be a continuing student studying Bachelor of Applied Finance and/or Bachelor of Commerce including any double degrees as of Session 1 2025.
• Be a female-identifying student.
• Be a full-time student.
• Demonstrated record of high academic achievement (Minimum WAM of 75).
• Can demonstrate the ability to work hard to achieve their goals.

Interview date, Process and Venue for Undergraduate Scholarship

Successful applicant will be selected based on:

• Evaluation of answers to online application questions
