2026 University of Sydney Postgraduate Research Scholarship in Back Pain Management

This Scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a Masters by Research or PhD student who is undertaking research in investigating back pain management in emergency health services. This Scholarship is funded by Department of Health and Aged Care (Federal).

University of Sydney Postgraduate Scholarship

Aim and Benefits of University of Sydney Postgraduate Scholarship

The Scholarship will provide a stipend allowance of $43,840.5 per annum as per the below duration:

• up to 1.75 years for a successful Masters by Research recipient,
• up to 3.5 years for a successful PhD recipient.

Requirements for University of Sydney Postgraduate Scholarship Qualification

You must:

• be willing to apply for admission, have an offer of admission or being currently enrolled to study full-time in a Masters by Research or PhD within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney
• conduct research in investigating back pain management in emergency health services.

Interview date, Process and Venue for University of Sydney Postgraduate Scholarship

1. The successful applicant will be awarded the Scholarship on the basis of:
   • academic merit,
   • cover letter detailing interest in subject area, and
   • contact details of two academic referees.
2. Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend an interview.
3. The successful applicant will be awarded the Scholarship on the nomination of the relevant research supervisor(s), or their nominated delegate(s).
