2026 Wuppermann Research Scholarship for RWTH Master’s Students

The Wuppermann Scholarship offers Master’s students the opportunity to gain international experience in Japan or South Korea in 2025/2026. During their stay, participants can gain valuable insights into research and manufacturing, deepening their expertise while preparing a master’s thesis or final project.

Aim and Benefits of Wuppermann Research Scholarship

€5,000 per scholarship

Requirements for Wuppermann Research Scholarship Qualification

Master’s students at RWTH with a strong academic interest in materials science, forming technology, or manufacturing technology, particularly those enrolled in studies at the Institute of Metal Forming, the Steel Institute, and the Manufacturing Technology Institute, are eligible to apply for the Wuppermann Scholarship.

Documents Required for Application

• Letter of motivation and description of the intended research activity
• Confirmation from the host institution (letter of acceptance or internship contract)
• Tabular CV
• Proof of language skills (e.g., language certificate, such as TOEFL, certificate from the language center, or high school diploma)
• Current transcript of grades
• Transcript of records (Bachelor’s degree)
• Certificate of study progress (not certificate of enrollment!)
• Proof of achievements, e.g., awards, volunteer work, etc.
