Aim and Benefits of ACME Health and HIV/AIDS Reporting Training

Participating journalists will receive a scholarship to attend an intensive 5-day workshop led by ACME’s training team and experts in the fields of healthcare and HIV/AIDS. By the end of the workshop, they will leave with a greater understanding of current debates and issues in Uganda’s healthcare sector, a deeper knowledge of the players and their progress in achieving the country’s health development goals, and tools to produce content that informs and engages audiences.


Requirements for ACME Health and HIV/AIDS Reporting Training Qualification

Reporters, editors and content producers in Uganda who want to develop or improve their skills in health reporting.

Applicants are expected to:

  • Have at least two years experience working in the media
  • Be ready to participate in all five days of the in-person workshop
  • Publish/broadcast at least two stories following the training
