Afara Initiative The Bridge Fellowship 2026

The Bridge Program is a highly selective fellowship that identifies and develops change-makers to build Nigeria’s leadership capacity across sectors. The fellowship begins with a two-week intensive boot-camp followed by a lifetime of training, mentorship, access to resources and opportunities to forge a successful leadership journey. Each year, Afara Initiative welcome high potential young leaders who are in their first or second years of university to join the network. The Bridge fellows become part of a large network of future leaders and nation builders that will take bold steps to transform Nigeria’s economy.

• 2-week intensive leadership bootcamp
• 6-month specialized career-track training
• 3-month hands-on experience (internship, venture, or social project)
• Fast-track to high-impact careers within 12 months of graduation
• Ongoing leadership and professional development support

Requirements for Afara Initiative Training Qualification

• Applicants must be a student of a Nigerian university or polytechnic
• Applicant must demonstrate leadership quality
• Throughout the entire admissions process, we evaluate how you think, how you lead, how you see the world, and how audacious you are.
• The program comprises fellows from multifaceted backgrounds ranging across disciplines – Law, Engineering, Social Sciences, Medicine, and Pure Sciences, to name just a few.
