African Climate Creatives Fellowship 2026

The African Climate Creatives Fellowship is a 3-month program organized by Aspire Climate Vanguard to train young African climate advocates, aged 18–35, in using digital tools, storytelling, and strategic communication to amplify advocacy and influence climate policy.

The African Climate Creatives Fellowship (ACCF) seeks to equip passionate environmental and climate advocates with digital campaigning skills and storytelling strategies to amplify their activism, engage wider audiences, and spark impactful action across African communities.

• A personal portfolio of original storytelling and advocacy work
• Hands-on training with mobile-friendly tools and creative strategies

Beyond training, fellows will have the opportunity to showcase their projects at the African Climate Creatives Showcase & Stakeholder Forum, a post-fellowship event bringing together industry leaders, policymakers to amplify their impact.

Requirements for African Climate Creatives Fellowship Training Qualification

• YOUNG CLIMATE ADVOCATES
  • Applicants must be between 18–35 years old with some experience or interest in climate-related issues, and a willingness to grow their voice and presence within African communities.
• CREATIVE CHANGE-MAKERS
  • Open to individuals passionate about using creative tools such as storytelling, media, art, or design to drive impact and amplify climate justice or climate-related issues.
• AFRICAN RESIDENCY
  • Participants must reside in any African country and show a strong commitment to advancing solutions within their local or regional climate space.

1. Complete the Online Application Form: Respond to questions about your background, interests, and motivations.
2. Submit a Portfolio or Sample: You may include a link to past work—a video, blog, campaign, or digital media sample. If shared via Google Drive, ensure access is set to “Anyone with the link can view.”
3. Shortlisted Interviews: Candidates selected will be invited to a brief virtual interview with the organizing committee.
4. Selection & Notification: Finalists will be notified via email with onboarding details.
