Aim and Benefits of African Leadership Academy (ALA) College School
ALA has been committed to making the diploma program accessible for all successful applicants. Everyone who applies and is then admitted to ALA, regardless of background or nationality, is eligible to receive significant financial assistance.
- Students receive financial support for fees, uniforms, books and supplies, transportation, accommodation, and stipends.
- Students benefit from enrichment in skill areas relevant to employment success, such as critical thinking, communications, and entrepreneurship.
- Students will receive support during their transition into secondary school, university or the workforce with mentoring, career counselling, internships, leadership development, and other life skills coaching.
- An integral component of the Program is the commitment from the Scholars to give back to their communities and countries of origin. Students will demonstrate this commitment through volunteerism and community service, as well as other forms of experiential learning.
- Graduates of the Scholars Program will be connected through an alumni network that offers information, resources, and opportunities to consult with other graduates.
Requirements for African Leadership Academy (ALA) College School Qualification
- For admission in 2027, applicants must have been born on or after September 1, 2007.

The ALA admissions process is designed to assess each candidate's leadership potential and compatibility with our unique diploma program. Our approach is holistic, taking into account various factors such as intellectual readiness, courage, perseverance, ownership, and interdependence. We understand that diversity is a vital component of community strength, so we seek to build a class with students from various backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives.
Application Stages
- REGISTER AND APPLY ONLINE
- Submit your application and receive a confirmation email from ALA admissions. And further updates concerning your application status.
- Check your email to see if you have been selected as a finalist.
- Submit financial aid documents and letters of recommendation.
- Finalist interview with the ALA admissions team. All finalists can apply for financial aid.
- Arrive at the African Leadership Academy campus in August 2027.
- Wait for an email from ALA admissions with your final admissions decision.
- Arrive at the African Leadership Academy campus in August 2027.
