Asian Cultural Council Graduate Fellowship 2025 (Up to $15,000 USD) in USA

The Asian Cultural Council gives a small number of grants to students admitted to a graduate degree program in the United States. Graduate Fellows must be enrolled in a program that falls within the 16 accepted disciplines.
Graduate Fellowships are awarded for one academic year, with the possibility of renewing for one (1) additional year. One academic year in this application cycle would include the full-time pursuit of coursework from the Fall 2025 to Spring 2026 semesters or from the Spring 2026 to Fall 2026 semesters.

Aim and Benefits of Asian Cultural Council Graduate Fellowship

Through the Graduate Fellowship, ACC aims to advance international cultural exchange and to contribute to the diversification of scholarly narratives and critical discourses through increasing access to academic training in the arts and cultural fields.

Benefits: 

• $15,000 USD for one (1) academic year; opportunity to renew for another academic year if applicant is enrolled full-time within the same graduate program and has maintained academic eligibility.
• Graduate Fellowship applicants do not need to provide a detailed budget.

Requirements for Asian Cultural Council Graduate Fellowship Qualification

• Funding is intended to cover travel and living expenses related to graduate study. Tuition costs are not supported.

• ACC prioritizes applicants who choose to study in the U.S. because comparable programs are not available in their home countries/territories/regions and/or because they work in a field that is underrepresented in their home countries/territories/regions.

• Must be enrolled in full-time, in-residence degree within the U.S. or able to provide proof of admission and acceptance to an accredited university by April 1, 2025.

• Applicants must be pursuing coursework during the grant period. Applicants who have already completed the coursework phase of their graduate education are not eligible. ACC will not provide grants to applicants who are only in the fieldwork research or thesis-writing phase of their graduate studies.

• Applicants in part-time, summer-only, or online graduate programs are not eligible.

• Applicants in non-degree programs are not eligible.

• A clear articulation of how earning a graduate degree in an underserved or underrepresented artistic practice, profession, or field of the scholarship will benefit the applicant’s community or home country.
