ASM Country Ambassadors and ASM Young Ambassadors span 125 countries and connect with ASM members around the globe. They respond to the needs of their local scientific communities, build relationships with key institutions and facilitate partnerships.

Aim and Benefits of ASM Ambassador Program

• Opportunity to play a leadership role in ASM’s mission to promote and advance the microbial sciences worldwide.

Requirements for ASM Ambassador Program Qualification

• Current ASM membership. If you are not an ASM member, you can join or renew online.

• A Ph.D., or equivalent terminal degree in a microbiology-related field, or a graduate degree and 10 years post-academic experience.

• At least 3 microbiology-related papers in last 5 years.

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in English.

• At least 5 hours per month to commit to ambassador activities.
