Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) 2021-2021 Scholarships for ADC’s and Developing Countries

Another application round is open for the Austrian Development Cooperation Scholarships 2021-2022. Every year the students from developing countries wishing to study in Austria are given a funding opportunity by the Austrian Development Cooperation to cover fees and living expenses.

The Austrian Development Cooperation offers two types of scholarships:

• Scholarship for other developing countries

About Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC)

(ADC) forms part of Austrian foreign policy, with the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) as the operational unit of the ADC. ADC aims at reducing poverty, preserving the environment and promoting peace and human security in partner countries. Long-term programmes and projects of the ADC support self-help to ensure sustainable development. ADC Scholarships

Aim and Benefits of ADC Scholarships

For the ADC’s, the scholarship includes:

• Tuition fee
• Accommodation
• Flight tickets (from home country to Salzburg and back)
• Health insurance
• Food from Monday – Sunday
• Excursions (except field trip to ITB Berlin)
• €205,- pocket money per month

While for other developing countries, the scholarship includes:

• Tuition fee
• Health insurance
• Food from Monday – Friday
• Excursions (except ITB Berlin)
• €205,- pocket money per month

Requirements for ADC Scholarships Qualification

The scholarships are generally awarded to ADC’s priority countries and other developing countries as follows;

Scholarship for ADC Priority Countries

Limited to applicants from the following countries:

• Ethiopia
• Uganda
• Burkina Faso
• Mozambique
• Bhutan
• Palestinian Territories
• Georgia
• Armenia

Scholarship for developing countries

Open to all developing countries by definition

Eligible Fields

The Austrian Development Cooperation Scholarships 2021/2022 can be used for any of the modules below.

General Module including the Special Modules:

• Hospitality Management Module or
• Tourism Management Module

Additional Module: Teacher Training Module (TT)

How to Apply

Please be aware that being offered a scholarship is not automatic and very competitive. Follow the steps below to apply;

• Get information about ITH from an Austrian consulate or embassy
• Download ITH application form by clicking here. Austrian embassies and consulates have this form as well.
• Application Process – all applications should be sent directly to the Institute via post.
  Submission deadline is the 1st of March every year, which means the Institute has to receive the application latest by March 1st.
• Confirmation – You would be informed about the result of your application by the end of April. If you were awarded a scholarship you will receive a letter of acceptance.
