The team within BMW Group Idea Management continuously develops digital solutions to support innovation and continuous improvement processes. As part of this bachelor's thesis, we support you in exploring and developing modern AI-assisted software engineering methods to create an innovative IT tool for idea management.

What awaits you?

• You support the analysis of existing processes and systems within the idea management environment.
• Furthermore, you help design an AI-based software development approach for a new IT solution.
• In addition, you support the use of Generative AI and AI coding assistants to develop software components.
• Moreover, you contribute to developing a prototype web-based and/or database-driven system for idea management.
• Furthermore, you help integrate data sources, interfaces, and reporting functionalities.
• In addition, you support the evaluation of opportunities and limitations of AI-assisted software development in an industrial environment.
• Moreover, you help document, scientifically assess, and present the project results.

Requirements for Bachelor's Thesis: AI-Assisted Software Development (f/m/x) Internship Qualification

• Studies in computer science, business informatics, data science, or a comparable field.
• Knowledge of at least one programming language, such as JavaScript, Python, or Java.
• First experience in web development and/or database development.
• Interest in artificial intelligence, Generative AI, and modern software engineering methodologies.
• Strong analytical thinking and a structured working method.
• Enthusiasm for solving complex challenges and a proactive mindset.
• Very good German and/or English language skills.
