As a doctoral candidate in our team, you will conduct research in the growing field of electromobility, focusing on the industrialization and securing of series production of high-voltage batteries. Your research aims to ensure quality and supply within the BMW Group's supplier network.

What can you expect?

• You will assist in analyzing the innovative foaming process for the production of the high-voltage storage system and its impact on subsequent production processes and lifespan.
• Furthermore, you will contribute to the development and validation of finite element simulations for predicting dimensional accuracy of basic components and series assemblies.
• Furthermore, you will contribute to the production and measurement of samples to determine the material properties necessary for the simulation.
• You will assist in deriving measures to reduce delays.

Requirements for Doktorand Finite-Elemente-Simulation für Hochvoltspeicher-Fertigung (w/m/x) PhD Scholarship Qualification

• Studies in mechanical engineering, plastics engineering, technical mechanics or a comparable scientific-technical degree program.
• Excellent knowledge of finite element programs and technical calculations in Excel.
• Good knowledge of laboratory methods for investigating the mechanical, chemical and physical properties of plastics.
• Fluent German and English skills.
