BMW Group PMQ Intern 2026

The PMQ Intern will support the Process Management & Quality function by assisting with data quality improvement activities, quality assurance checks, project documentation, and operational follow-up tasks. 

The role contributes to the monitoring and improvement of process quality by reviewing data accuracy, identifying inconsistencies, supporting testing and validation activities, and preparing structured information for project and management purposes. 

The function acts under the guidance of the PMQ Team Leader and supports internal stakeholders in maintaining reliable process data, clear documentation, and effective execution of assigned project tasks.

What awaits you?

1. Data Quality Improvements 

• Review and validate data in relevant systems to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency. 
• Identify missing, incorrect, duplicate, or outdated data and document findings in a structured way. 
• Support data cleansing activities by preparing correction lists and following up on required updates with relevant stakeholders. 

2. Business Analysis, Consulting & Reporting 

• Work with business users to understand relevant workflows, business needs, and expected system behavior. 
• Assist with the generation, automation, and continuous improvement of reports. 

3. Process Management & Governance 

• Support process owners in defining, analyzing, and improving processes 
• Support project teams with assigned tasks, follow-ups, and process-related documentation. 

4. Testing & Quality Management 

• Execute business process test cases and end-to-end testing activities for assigned project areas. 
• Participate in system testing, regression testing, and User Acceptance Testing. 
• Document test results, defects, anomalies, and system behavior using Jira and Xray. 
• Support defect triage by providing evidence, business impact, retesting, and validation of fixes. 
• Support project teams with status updates on testing progress, open defects, risks, and dependencies.

Requirements for PMQ Intern Internship Qualification

• Creativity and ability to look outside the normal boundaries 
• Understands and communicates the linkage between strategy and tactical execution 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; Can communicate complex topics in easily understandable terms/formats 
• Understanding of core business processes in Operations, Sales, Finance, or a similar area. 
• Ability to understand business needs and translate them into clear documentation and test scenarios. 
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document findings clearly. 
• Good analytical, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. 
• Ability to work in a project-based environment with multiple stakeholders and timelines. 
• Fluent in English
