BMW Student Trainee in Aerodynamics 2026

During your work-study program, you will contribute to the analysis and optimization of the aerodynamics of our BMW Motorrad racing vehicles.

What can you expect?

• You will support our aerodynamics team, e.g. in technical development with a focus on calculation, in project management or in activities related to the BMW Motorrad Motorsport factory teams.
• You will also learn about the processes involved in the creation of vehicles, as well as various key areas of development.
• Furthermore, you will assist in the documentation and preparation of work results.
• You will also assist with the planning and execution of test and validation drives.
• In addition, you will be involved in the management and implementation of small special projects that are coming up in the team in the next few months.
• Your exciting range of tasks is rounded off by your involvement in day-to-day operations.

Requirements for BMW Internship Qualification

• Studies in engineering, ideally with a focus on motorsport, automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or similar.
• Basic knowledge of fluid mechanics and aerodynamics.
• Proficient use of Microsoft tools, Linux operating system, ANSA pre-processing, StarCCM CFD software, Python scripts; CAD Catia knowledge is an advantage.
• Teamwork and communication skills.
• Self-initiative and determination.
• Confident demeanor.
• Fluent German and good English skills.
