Brunel University London Dean’s International Scholarship for Electronic and Electrical Engineering 2024-2025

The Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering was formally established and recognised as a key engineering Department within the College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences in 2020. Therefore, we are happy to continue the Scholarship for Electronic and Electrical Engineering undergraduate and postgraduate courses for 2024/25.

This scholarship is only available to full-time international students and will only be paid once for each eligible level of study, subject to meeting progression requirements.

Requirements for Brunel University London Dean’s International Scholarship Qualification

To be eligible for a Dean’s Scholarship an applicant must:

  • Apply for and fulfil the entry criteria for admission to the following courses:

Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering:

    • BEng Computer Systems Engineering
    • BEng/MEng Electronic and Electrical Engineering
    • MSc Electric Vehicle Systems
  • Be in receipt of an offer to study on one of the above programmes starting in September 2024.
  • Be classed as an Overseas fee paying student based on the UK government regulations. Applicants who are unsure of their fee status should note Brunel uses the information you have provided in your application form to assess your fee status against regulations set by the UK government. For information on these regulations please visit the independent organisation UKCISA’s website.
  • Be in receipt of an Unconditional Firm offer of place by the time Scholarships are confirmed in September.

Those not eligible for these Scholarships

  • Applicants NOT classed as Overseas for fees purposes based on UK government regulations, or those with an unresolved fee status.
  • Applicants holding an offer on a course other than those stated above.
  • Applicants who will NOT commence their course in September 2024 - applicants holding offers for deferred entry must apply for scholarships in the month and year they intend to start their course and not in the year of their course application.
  • Applicants entering a course with the Brunel Language Centre (BLC).
  • Applicants in receipt of an International Discount, this includes the Vice Chancellors Excellence Award or the International Bursary.

 

Interview date, Process and Venue for Brunel University London Dean’s International Scholarship

  1. Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria at the time of allocation will be considered for a tuition fee award using the information provided at the time of their course application only and cannot be considered should their circumstances change during the course of their studies. Awards cannot be backdated.
  2. The College will review course applications on a regular basis throughout the year.
  3. Tuition fee awards will be awarded provisionally on a first-come-first-served basis throughout the year, until all the awards have been allocated.
  4. The College will be responsible for initiating and managing all communication with the successful applicants.
  5. Tuition fee awards will be decided by the College, who will be responsible for producing a final list for eligible awardees.
  6. The decision of the College is final. The University will not accept any appeals in respect of the decisions made by the College.
  7. The award cannot be combined with any other University scholarship, bursary, discount or award, this includes the International Academic Excellence Scholarship, the International Bursary, Vice Chancellors Excellence Award and the Brunel Medical School International Scholarship, but excludes the 2% prompt payment discount, the Brunel Graduate Discount, the Brunel Family Discount and the Postgraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship. This will be deducted from the tuition fees remaining after the scholarship discount has been applied at enrolment.
  8. If an applicant is eligible for more than one scholarship or discount, the College Specific Scholarship or International Scholarship will take precedence.
  9. If an applicant is eligible for multiple awards, the most financially beneficial award will be awarded.
  10. Awards are made for the September 2024 entry of the academic year 2024/25 only and cannot be deferred to other months or years of entry. Course applicants who intend to defer their studies from 2024/25 academic year to 2025/26 will lose any award they have been made.

Interested and qualified? Go to Brunel University London on www.brunel.ac.uk to apply

Application process: No separate scholarship application is required. Applicants should apply for the programmes in the usual way, via UCAS or via the Brunel online application portal. Scholarship eligibility will be automatically considered and the scholarship will be awarded on a first come, first served basis.

Deadlines: The College will consider applicants for the scholarship until early August 2024. Once all scholarships have been allocated, the College will put prospective students on a waitlist for consideration.

Successful applicants will be contacted by the Department in September.
