Aim and Benefits of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice Master's Scholarship
- 20 scholarships of 10,000 € per year for up to two years for students enrolling in a master’s degree programme;
- 8 scholarships of 10,000 € per year for up to three years for students enrolling in a bachelor’s degree programme.
Requirements for Ca’ Foscari University of Venice Master's Scholarship Qualification
- Possess (or be in the process of obtaining) a valid qualification providing access to a bachelor’s or master’s degree programme in the Italian university system from either a non-Italian school/university or an Italian institution located abroad, after at least two years of attendance. If the most recent qualification was obtained at the end of a course of study lasting only one year, the preceding qualification(s) will also be evaluated.Qualifications issued by the Republic of San Marino are considered to be Italian. The nationality of the applicant is irrelevant;
- Have received from Ca’ Foscari a letter of enrolment eligibility for the chosen programme after completing the pre-evaluation and admission procedures on apply.unive.it.
Interview date, Process and Venue for Ca’ Foscari University of Venice Master's Scholarship
Applicants are assigned points based on the following elements of evaluation in order to be situated in the relevant set of rankings:
- Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA): this must be equivalent to or higher than 85% at the time the scholarship application is submitted.
- Motivational video: this must be prepared according to the indications provided in the call for applications.
- Reference letter(s): these must be prepared by teachers or professors familiar with the applicant and his/her work. Applicants to bachelor's degrees are permitted to provide one reference letter for evaluation; master's degree applicants must provide at least one letter but are permitted to submit up to two.
- Language certification: the applicant's knowledge of the language of instruction of his/her chosen programme of study can be demonstrated by providing one of the language certifications accepted by the university.

In order to submit their application, candidates must:
- sign up on the platform apply.unive.it and register their account to apply for their chosen study programme(s);
- by 1:00 p.m. CEST on 31 March 2026, access the platform indicated here below using their personal virtual Italian tax code (the same one obtained to complete their own application on apply.unive.it)
- fill out all the sections with the following information and the documents required:
- PERSONAL INFORMATION
- MANDATORY DOCUMENTATION:
- Coloured scanned copy of a valid passport (or ID for EU candidates only) – Candidates should use the same one they uploaded to their application on apply.unive.it. Maximum size: 5 MB.
- Candidates must upload a single PDF file no larger than 20 MB containing the following documentation:
- Entry qualification documents - Diploma or letter of enrolment; mark sheet or university transcript of records (including the first semester of the 2025/2026 school/academic year). Candidates must also attach professional translations of these documents into English or Italian if they are not already in one of these languages (this is the same documentation that candidates need to upload to their application on apply.unive.it).
- Weighted average certificate - If a candidate’s weighted average is not clearly identifiable and indicated on his/her mark sheet or transcript of records, he/she must obtain an official weighted average certificate from the relevant institution. 6 This document must be signed and stamped by the school’s or university’s registrar and clearly indicate the period of time to which the weighted average refers. If a candidate presents more than one entry qualification, he/she must make sure that his/her weighted average is indicated in all of them. Official information about the weighted average candidates have obtained during the completion of their entry qualification is mandatory. Master's degree candidates must also provide the grading scale adopted by the university that awarded or will award their entry qualification(s).
- Language certificate – Candidates must attach proof of their minimum B2-level knowledge of the language of instruction of the programme(s) to which they are applying for admission. The list of the certifications the University recognises and exemption cases are found online at: https://www.unive.it/pag/40609/. If a candidate does not yet have a language certificate and does not fall into any exemption category, he/she can still apply for the scholarship packages, but the evaluation committee will not be able to assign him/her any of the points dedicated to acknowledging his/her degree of expertise in the language of instruction of his/her chosen programme(s) (7 points out of 90 for bachelor’s degree applicants; 7 points out of 98 for master’s degree applicants).
- REFERENCE LETTER(S): candidates provide the contact information and institutional email address of one or more referees, who are then contacted by the platform with a request for the submission of a reference letter. Only reference letters written in English and submitted via the unique link provided via the scholarship application platform will be accepted. Each letter, preferably prepared on institutional letterhead, must bear the handwritten signature of the referee and the stamp of the relevant institution. Bachelor’s degree candidates can provide one reference letter: the referee must be a high school teacher (or university professor) familiar with the candidate and his or her work. Master’s degree candidates can provide up to two reference letters, one of which is mandatory: referees must be university professors familiar with the candidate and his or her work. Reference letters can be submitted by the referees until 1:00 p.m. CEST on 14 April 2026.
- VIDEO PRESENTATION: this video must be a maximum of 3 minutes in length and under 50 MB in size. The video must be recorded in the language of instruction of the programme(s) to which the candidate is applying for admission. It must be submitted in one of the following formats: .mp4, .mov, .mwv, .avi. The candidate must be clearly visible on the recording and the audio must be audible or else the video won’t be taken into consideration, thus rendering invalid the scholarship candidacy. A strong video presentation will do the following: i. Make a candidate’s motivations and ambitions clear; ii. Outline a candidate’s expectations with regard to future studies at Ca' Foscari; iii. Reflect upon the opportunities and challenges a candidate is likely to encounter in choosing to study abroad; iv. Present all thoughts on these subjects in a focused, sophisticated and meaningful way.
- SUMMARY AND SUBMISSION.
In the moment when the scholarship application is submitted, the scholarship platform sends out automatically the reference letter requests to the email addresses of the referees indicated when filling out the scholarship application. If your referees have not received the request, please reach out for assistance by writing an email to the address [email protected]. Candidates will receive a confirmation email when the reference letter is submitted by the indicated professor(s).
