Call for Applications: WFSA Paediatric Anaesthesia Fellowships, Nairobi, Kenya 2025

The University of Nairobi together with the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists is offering up to three 12-month Paediatric Anaesthesia Fellowship positions starting in September/October 2025.

Fellows will be based at the Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi and will also rotate through various hospitals with active paediatric surgical programmes. There is a robust didactic teaching programme that includes an online learning platform with facilitators from all over the world.

Aim and Benefits of Paediatric Anaesthesia Fellowships

The successful applicants will receive funding to cover tuition, accommodation and subsistence living expenses.

Requirements for Paediatric Anaesthesia Fellowships Qualification

• Must be supported in their application by their own national anaesthesiology society which must be a member society of the WFSA.
• Must be supported in their application by their head of department or hospital management.
• Must be returning to their home country to a recognised post.
• Should ideally be working in a teaching hospital.

The deadline for applications is the 30th of June 2025. Complete your application form and upload the following documents:

• Curriculum vitae with one recent photo and the names of two referees
• Letter of recommendation from the applicant’s national anaesthesiology society
• Letter of recommendation from the applicant’s head of department or hospital management
• Copy of medical degree
• Copy of specialist anaesthesiology qualification
• Copy of photograph page of Passport
