Copenhagen Business School (CBS) invites applications for one vacant PhD scholarship within the fields of Information Systems and Human-Computer Interaction.
Core research areas of the Department of Digitalization (DIGI) are Information Systems and Human-Computer Interaction. It is the ambition of the Department to create a context where researchers can accomplish their potential in a supportive and conductive environment with a set of common values, aspirations and directions. Teaching responsibilities of the Department comprise undergraduate and graduate teaching in Information Systems and Human-Computer Interaction.
This position is linked to the SIOT project which is funded by the DIRECT and CBS, focusing on the Security of Internet of Things. This is an interdisciplinary project initiated by researchers from Aarhus University, Aalborg University, Alexandra Institute, Copenhagen Business School, and Technical University of Denmark, as well as industrial partners from both private and public sectors.
The project’s full title is: “SIOT – Secure Internet of Things – risk analysis in design and operation”. The SIOT project propose to use algorithms from automata theory and game theory to automate risk analysis and security strategy synthesis. The implementation of the security policies will consider both technical as well as social aspects, in particular usability in organizations and training of people.
The CBS team will focus on 1) studying the adequacy and usability of current risk analysis and design tools for target organization, 2) improving the user interface design and assess effectiveness of the IoT security toolkits from a human-centered perspective, 3) designing, implementing, and certifying the IoT security?related training program based on the developed tools or systems, and 4) proposing guidelines/code?of?conduct regarding IoT security for organizational stakeholders.

A PhD scholarship runs for a period of three years, and includes teaching obligations equivalent to six months’ work (840 work hours).
The scholarships are fully salaried positions, according to the national Danish collective agreement.
The monthly salary is currently approximately DKK 27,871 up to DKK 33,659 depending on seniority and a pension contribution totalling 17.1%.
Salary level and employment take place in accordance with the Ministry of Finance's agreement with the Academics' Central Organization.

You should be able to:
• Master quantitative methods, such as experiment, applied economics, and survey.
• Master at least one statistical software, e.g. STATA, R, SPSS, or SAS.
• Master at least one of the following programming language: Python, Java, C++/C.
• Experience on Internet-of-Things design/development/implementation.
• Communicate in Danish (at least speaking and understanding)
• Have fluency in written and oral English
Desired but not mandatory qualifications:
• Knowledge and experience in Data Science and Machine Learning techniques is an advantage
• Knowledge on Game theory/economic analysis/operations research method
