Copenhagen Business School, Department of Strategy and Innovation invites applications for a vacant postdoc position within the field of sustainability and business model design.
The postdoc position has a duration of two years. The anticipated starting date is 1 October 2022.
The postdoc position is part of the MADE-project (www.made.dk/made-fast/). MADE FAST (Flexible, Agile, and Sustainable production enabled by Talented employees) is a new industrial lead research, innovation, and education partnership to develop the next generation of Danish advanced manufacturing capabilities.
The objective of MADE FAST is to deliver solutions to Danish manufacturers, which will enable increased flexibility, agility and environmentally sustainable manufacturing operations, supported by talented employees and enabled by digitalization.
The role of the postdoc is to conceptualize insights across the individual research projects in the form of tools, manuals and frameworks that can be applied broadly in Danish companies facing issues of sustainability and business model design.
The ideal candidate combines knowledge of business and engineering, while a PhD in business or engineering is an advantage, but not a condition.
The postdoc will be physically located partly at the project lead, the MADE secretariat in the “House of Industry” in central Copenhagen, and partly at Department of Strategy and Innovation (SI) at CBS. The position entails some travelling to the MADE partner companies and a budget for travel and conference participation will be available. The position includes teaching requirements at CBS.

Appointment and salary will be in accordance with the Ministry of Finance’s agreement with the Central Academic Organization.
The ideal candidate will have flair for research and conceptualization of findings, as well as being a good communicator that might have some work experience e.g. from a consulting company. You can see through the essentials of a given case, take clear takeaways from complex information, and turn them into clear understandable tools and recommendations using both qualitative and quantitative methods.
