Aim and Benefits of CEEPUS Scholarship in Hungary Postgraduate Scholarship

Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.
The CEEPUS partner countries provide the funding for the programme. Scholarship holders receive their CEEPUS grant from the host country; therefore, the amount is tailored to local living standards.
- In Hungary, scholarships are paid through the host university. You will receive further information about the method and timing of the payment from the host university’s CEEPUS coordinator once you are awarded a scholarship.
Requirements for CEEPUS Scholarship in Hungary Postgraduate Scholarship Qualification
Member countries?
Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.
You are eligible to apply for a CEEPUS scholarship at a Hungarian higher education institution if...
- you are an enrolled student or a teacher at an accredited university/college in any of the other CEEPUS member countries,
- for a student grant, you need to have completed at least two semesters of your studies.
Note: The home institution has the right to stipulate any further requirements for selecting the students/teachers to study/teach at a partner institution.
Other imported conditions of CEEPUS grants
- If you hold a different citizenship but are an enrolled student or a teacher in one of the member countries, you are still eligible to apply.
- If you are a citizen of one of the member countries but study/teach in a different country (third country), you are not eligible to apply.
- Applicants may not receive a grant to study/teach in their home country (country of citizenship and country of residence).
- It is not allowed to receive a second mobility scholarship from other sources, to cover costs for the same mobility activity, destination and period (avoiding double financing).
- For students, the duration of the study period may not exceed a total of 10 months each for the BA and MA cycles.
