Chevening Scholarship 2026 for International Students

Applications are now open for the Chevening 2026 Scholarship for International Students. Imagine studying in a place where old castles stand next to modern science labs. During the day, you can study at famous universities, and at night, you can explore exciting cities.

Chevening Scholarship

Aim and Benefits of Chevening Scholarship

As Chevening Scholarships are fully-funded, your award includes the following:

• university tuition fees
• a monthly stipend
• travel costs to and from the UK
• an arrival allowance
• a homeward departure allowance
• the cost of one visa application
• a travel grant to attend Chevening events in the UK

Requirements for Chevening Scholarship Qualification

• Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.  
• Commit to returning to your home country for at least two years after your scholarship ends.
• Have at least two years (equivalent to 2,800 hours) of work experience.
• Hold an undergraduate degree that qualifies you for a UK master’s programme. 
• Apply to three different and eligible ?UK university courses. You must have received an unconditional offer from at least one of these course choices by the references and education documents deadline listed on the application timeline.

Interview date, Process and Venue for Chevening Scholarship

• 5th August, 2025: Application Opens
• 7th October, 2025: Application Closes
• October 2025: Applicants are filtered using the eligibility criteria
• Mid October 2025 to January 2026: Applicantions are accessed
• Mid February 2026: Applicants are shortlisted for interviews
• March - April 2026: Shortlisted applicants are interviewed
• Mid-June 2026: Results are announced
• 9th July, 2026: Deadline to submit your unconditional offer from a UK University
• September/October 2026: Studies Begin
