The Scholarship is designed to assist previous recipients of the D. V. Bryant Trust University of Waikato Residential Scholarship, who have proven academic potential and for whom accommodation within a self-catered hall of residence environment in their second year or above, of an undergraduate degree, would be demonstrably beneficial to their academic progress.

Aim and Benefits of University of Waikato D.V. Bryant Trust Scholarship for Returning Student

The Scholarship is an accommodation credit of $3,000, which will be applied to the allocated Halls of Residence accommodation fees.

Requirements for University of Waikato D.V. Bryant Trust Scholarship for Returning Student Qualification

To be eligible, applicants must:

1. Be a current recipient of the D.V. Bryant Trust University of Waikato Residential Scholarship or the D.V. Bryant Trust University of Waikato Returning Students Scholarship and have met all A Trimester requirements of the scholarship.
2. Be intending to return to enrol full-time (a full-time academic year comprises 120 points) in an undergraduate degree programme at the University of Waikato in the year of tenure.

 

Interview date, Process and Venue for University of Waikato D.V. Bryant Trust Scholarship for Returning Student

Selection will be based on:

1. Academic achievement.
2. Benefit and need for further accommodation support in a university Hall of Residence.
3. Future study and/or career plans
4. Character, initiative and leadership.
5. Reflection of D.V Bryant Trust values.
6. Contribution to student life in the halls.
7. Special consideration will be given to those who might not otherwise be able to return to study in their second/third year due to personal or financial circumstances.
