DAAD DIES Trainingskurs Leadership Training for Female University Vice Presidents 2024

The funding program “DIES Training Course – Leadership Training for Female University Vice Presidents” serves to build capacity at universities in the DIES partner regions (Spanish-speaking Latin America, sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia). This program line is implemented as part of the DIES (Dialogue on Innovative Higher Education Strategies) program jointly run by the DAAD and the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK).

DIES training courses are modular, practice-oriented training courses for managers at universities in the Global South.

Aim and Benefits of DIES Trainingskurs Leadership Training

Successful applicants will receive funding for the following:

• Conducting events and workshops at home and abroad
• Designing, developing and implementing digital teaching and learning offerings
• Using experts as trainers and/or mentors/coaches as part of the training course

Requirements for DIES Trainingskurs Leadership Training Qualification

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Vice presidents and representatives of the university management level with an equivalent job profile of universities in the Global South.
• State and state-recognized German universities.
• Non-profit and self-researching non-university research institutions based in Germany.
