Erasmus Mundus GEM Scholarship 2027

The Erasmus+ Master of Science Degree (MSc) Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation for Environmental Modelling and Management (GEM) Programme is a fully funded master's scholarship for international students from around the world to study in Europe. Graduates of the Erasmus+ Master of Science Degree (MSc) Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation for Environmental Modelling and Management (GEM) Programme will be awarded a double degree (in English). The aim of GEM is to deliver top-class graduates from the EU and around the world, with the skills and networks to better manage socio-ecological systems for sustainable and equitable growth.

Erasmus Mundus GEM Scholarship Master's Scholarship

Aim and Benefits of Erasmus Mundus GEM Scholarship Master's Scholarship

The?Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) scholarship?provides comprehensive financial support for selected students. It includes: 

• Full tuition fee waiver 
• Student insurance including emergency assistance, medical and dental expenses, accidents, social & medical repatriation, liability, legal assistance, home contents and luggage.
• Monthly allowance of €1,400 for up to 24 months 

The monthly contribution is intended to cover: 

• Accommodation and living expenses 
• Travel costs
• Visa and residence permit expenses 
• Study materials and laptop costs 
• Other personal expenses 

Requirements for Erasmus Mundus GEM Scholarship Master's Scholarship Qualification

• Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent first-cycle higher education qualification from a recognised higher education institution.
• Applicants must have achieved a First Class or Upper Second Class (2.1) Bachelor’s degree, or an internationally recognised equivalent.
• The Bachelor’s degree must provide an academic background relevant to the objectives and content of the GEM programme and the GEM tracks.
• Applicants who are not eligible for an exemption must demonstrate a high level of proficiency in academic English by submitting one of the approved English-language tests.
   

Interview date, Process and Venue for Erasmus Mundus GEM Scholarship Master's Scholarship

Based on the academic evaluation and, where applicable, the interview results, applicants are ranked for admission and Erasmus+ scholarship allocation.

The highest-ranked applicants in each track may be offered provisional admission to the programme, subject to the conditions outlined below.

• Academic merit
• Programme fit
• Overall application quality
• Available Erasmus+  funding
• Geographic balance and diversity considerations where applicable

Any potential conflicts of interest are managed in accordance with Erasmus+ regulations and consortium procedures.
