The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master on Climate Change and Diversity: Sustainable Territorial Development (CCD–STeDe) is a two-years Master Degree course (120 ECTS) that aims to prepare experts in the area of sustainable territorial development in the context of global climate and environmental emergencies.

Erasmus Mundus Masters Scholarship

Aim and Benefits of Erasmus Mundus Masters Scholarship

The EMJM scholarship covers the entire duration of the Master (24 months), through a monthly allowance of 1400 euros. Students with scholarships will have covered the tuition fees and insurance for the entire duration of the Master. The scholarship allows students to cover the costs implicated in the Erasmus Mundus Programme, for example:

• Visa
• Travel costs
• Installation and subsistence costs (food and accommodation)
• All other costs

Requirements for Erasmus Mundus Masters Scholarship Qualification

Candidates are required to have:

• first cycle academic degree of at least 3 years – 180 ECTS credits (Licenciatura, Academic Bachelor degree, Diploma di Laurea di primo livello, Licence) or an equivalent degree (Diplôme d’Ecole d’Ingénieurs, Ecole de Commerce etc.), obtained by June 30 2026 and officially recognized by the national law
• good command of English and Spanish or Portuguese or French, both spoken and written (A good command of the chosen path’s second language is required to be eligible. Please consider it for your choice)
• personal interest in sustainable development and climate change (see the Personal Statement form)
• a passport with the validity of at least 3 years

PLEASE NOTE: Language certificates are not required to be eligible to participate in the Master Programme. However, if pre-selected your language proficiency in both English and Spanish or French or Portuguese will be verified during a Zoom Interview. Applications of candidates without the knowledge of the two languages needed for the chosen academic path will not be considered.

Interview date, Process and Venue for Erasmus Mundus Masters Scholarship

• Academic excellence (x3 if more than 25 years old; x4 if  25 years old or less)
• Professional excellence (x3)
• Interest in the topic of sustainable territorial development (x3)
• English language proficiency (x1)
• Second language proficiency (choosing among French, Portuguese or Spanish) (x1) (A good command of the chosen path’s second language is required to be eligible. Please consider it for your choice)
• Reference letters (x1)

Applications are evaluated according to the following grading scale. Every score is multiplied for the above-mentioned multipliers.

Documents Required for Application

1. Copy of your Passport (validity of at least 3 years)
2. Proof of place of residence (e.g. residence certificate issued in accordance with the candidate’s municipality normal registration rules or certificate from the candidate’s place of work, study or training issued by the institution in question, etc. For more info on eligible documents, please see PRADO website). For this document English translation is not needed, if it’s in Italian or one of CCD-STeDe languages (French, Spanish or Portuguese)
3. Copy Diploma(s) and other award certificate(s) + copy of the Diploma Supplement whenever IF available
4. Copy of your Transcript of Records
5. Copy of 2 reference letters (PLEASE NOTE: must be on headed paper of the institution where your referees belong to and duly signed) –  [preferably one from professionals, one from academics OR from two different institutions]
6. Curriculum vitae – Europass format ONLY: the non-conformity to the format will be evaluated as part of the selection process
