Erasmus Mundus MITRA Master's Program 2026

The Migration Transnationales (MITRA) Master’s program is a bilingual (French and English) interdisciplinary degree in the social sciences. It is dedicated to the study of migratory phenomena on an international scale and their impacts on contemporary societies. MITRA trains researchers specializing in migration studies (with opportunities to pursue doctoral studies), analysts of public policies on migration and integration (experts working in international or local organizations), and field practitioners in the non-profit sector.

As part of one of the international graduate programs at the University of Lille, MITRA is both a professionally oriented and research-oriented master’s program. It is designed according to a dual approach: alternating study locations within and outside Europe, and alternating between academic learning and fieldwork. Upon completing the program, MITRA students are awarded a master’s degree from the consortium, along with degrees from the partner universities where they pursued their studies.
