EU Call for Applications to join the 3rd Team Europe Youth Sounding Board for Zimbabwe 2026

The European Union Delegation to Zimbabwe is proud to announce the launch of the call for applications for the 2026-2028 cohort of the Team Europe Youth Sounding Board (YSB). Under a spirit of inclusivity, the Team Europe YSB aims to bring together young men and women volunteering from all provinces of Zimbabwe from both urban and rural areas, and include people with disabilities. Looking for youth with a passion for the socio-economic development of Zimbabwe, particularly the empowerment of youth.

The Youth Sounding Board is an initiative that aims to give young people a greater say in the EU’s action in Zimbabwe. It is composed of 25 diverse, young people from Zimbabwe, who will serve on volunteering basis over the course of two years to discuss and advise the EU Delegation and EU Embassies on issues such as climate-smart agriculture, green economic growth, human development, good governance, human rights, gender equality and women empowerment. The Board will also advise the EU on how to better engage with young people in Zimbabwe.

Aim and Benefits of The 3rd Team Europe Youth Sounding Board

• Contribute to shaping youth empowerment in the EUD’s projects and strategies.
• Represent the diverse voices of Zimbabwean youth from all provinces and backgrounds – including young men and women, youth with disabilities, and those from rural and urban communities
• Engage with EU Delegation decision-makers and partners on matters affecting youth in the priority areas of EU cooperation in Zimbabwe.
• Gain valuable experience and exposure to international cooperation 

Requirements for The 3rd Team Europe Youth Sounding Board Qualification

• Aged between 18 and 30 years old at the close of the application period;
• Zimbabwean national or permanent residents;
• Not holding any leadership position in political parties;
• Passionate about youth socio-economic development and empowerment.
