Flinders University 2023 Adversarial Research Scholarship

Flinders University is seeking an outstanding candidate to undertake research in the area of adversarial machine learning and its applications to communication systems. This research project aims to analyse adversarial attacks on AI-enabled wireless communication systems. A fully trainable AI-enabled radio can sense the operating environment and autonomously generate secure, high throughput and resilient tactical waveform to support mission-critical communications. The research project will analyse adversarial attacks and learn from them to develop robust and reliable AI techniques for building wireless communication systems.

The project has funding available and will be based at Flinders University, Adelaide.

Aim and Benefits of Adversarial Research Scholarship

The scholarship includes:

• Approximately AUD 40K per annum (top-up of AUD 10k + RTP stipend for eligible students) https://students.flinders.edu.au/my-course/hdr/resources/research-training-program-rules
• A Research Training Program Fee Offset Scholarship covers tuition fees for Australian Citizens, NZ Citizens and Permanent Residents

Requirements for Adversarial Research Scholarship Qualification

To be eligible for the award of this scholarship, a student must: -

• Be an Australian citizen or New Zealand citizen; or have been granted permanent resident status; and
• meet PhD admission requirements
• be available to commence as a full-time PhD student at Flinders University in semester 1, 2023.
• Eligible for Research Training program scholarship.
