Applications are now open for the Flinders University 2025 Port Stephens Palliative Care Scholarship. This Scholarship has been established to assist students enrolled in postgraduate palliative care programs at Flinders University. The Scholarship has been made possible as a result of a generous donation from the Port Stephens Community Group. It is established in recognition of Rosemary Toscano and Barbara Arathoon, who were instrumental in the establishment of the Port Stephens Palliative Care Group.
Flinders University is a public university in Adelaide, South Australia. Founded in 1966, it was named in honour of navigator Matthew Flinders, who explored and surveyed the South Australian coastline in the early 19th century. The scholarship value will vary depending on the program level of the recipient. Students will receive $1,000 per semester for a maximum of 3 semesters. Benefits will be paid after the census date of each semester.
Recipients enrolled in the Graduate Certificate will receive a single $1,000 instalment, recipients in the Graduate Diploma will receive 2 instalments and recipients enrolled in the Master degree will receive 3 instalments.

The Scholarship will be awarded based on academic merit and financial need. Scholarship selection will be made in accordance with approved University procedures. This may include consultation with relevant College representatives.
Applications should be submitted online through the Flinders University Student System by the specified closing date.
