Applications are now open for the Flinders University 2025 Resthaven Undergraduate Nursing Scholarships. The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage study related to aged care and to provide financial assistance to students in the Bachelor of Nursing.

Resthaven Undergraduate Nursing Scholarships

Aim and Benefits of Resthaven Undergraduate Nursing Scholarships

Each scholarship will have a value of $5,000.00.

Two scholarships will be available per year subject to funding. A minimum of one scholarship per year will be reserved for students who can demonstrate financial need.

Requirements for Resthaven Undergraduate Nursing Scholarships Qualification

Applicants for the scholarship must:

• Be Australian or New Zealand citizens or Australian permanent residents; and
• Be enrolling in the second year of the Bachelor of Nursing (Graduate Entry) or the Bachelor of Nursing (Re-Entry), or enrolling in the third year of the Bachelor of Nursing (Pre-registration) in the specified academic year; and
• Normally be enrolled full-time at Flinders University; and
• Show a genuine interest in aged care as a career and in their studies; and
• Be prepared to undertake a placement at Resthaven; and
• Have not previously been in receipt of a Resthaven Scholarship

Selection Criteria

The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and demonstrated interest in aged care as a career. Selection will be made by the College of Nursing and Health Sciences in conjunction with Student Finance Services.
