The Southern Africa Public Leadership Programme is designed to develop strong and diverse networks of political and government leaders across the SADC region. The programme targets established leaders aged 18 to 45 in various professions, educational institutions, communities, and society.

To qualify for the programme, you should be a proven leader in your profession, educational institution, or community, aged 18-45.
Candidates should be citizens of the following Southern African countries: Angola, Botswana, Comoros, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eswatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
Candidates exploring elected political office or public service careers are encouraged to apply, regardless of educational background. We welcome applicants from all sectors eager to transition into public service leadership roles, regardless of political experience.
You must complete an application form, submit a written personal statement, provide a video submission, and submit your curriculum vitae (CV). Following this, a selection of candidates will be shortlisted, and all applicants will be notified of the outcome.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend our in-person assessment weekend in Johannesburg, South Africa.
