Generation Google Scholarship 2025: for Women in Computer Science (Asia Pacific Region/APAC)

The Generation Google Scholarship: for women in computer science was established to help students pursuing computer science degrees excel in technology and become leaders in the field. The Generation Google Scholarship: for women in computer science will be awarded based on the strength of each candidate’s demonstrated leadership, academic performance and financial need.

The program is open to students who meet all the minimum qualifications.

Selected students will receive $2,500 USD for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Requirements for Generation Google Scholarship Qualification

To be eligible to apply, applicants must:

• Be currently enrolled as a full-time second or third year undergraduate student at an accredited university in Asia Pacific for the 2024-2025 academic year
• Intend to continue pursuing a full-time Bachelors program at an accredited university in Asia Pacific for the 2025-2026 academic year
• Be studying computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field
• Demonstrated leadership
• Demonstrate a strong academic record
• Demonstrate financial need
• Children of Google employees are NOT eligible to apply

Interview date, Process and Venue for Generation Google Scholarship

Application deadline is Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 11:59 PM U.S. Pacific Time or when 1,250 eligible applications responses are received.

Recommendation letters are due by Monday, August 18, 2025 at 11:59 PM U.S. Pacific Time.

Documents Required for Application

You will be asked to complete an online application which includes:

• General background information (e.g. contact information and details about your current and intended universities)
• Resume/CV
• Two letters of recommendation
• Academic transcripts from your current institution
• Responses to short answer essay questions

IMPORTANT: Before starting the application, please have the following ready for upload:

• PDF copy of your resume
• PDF copy of your current or most recent transcript (unofficial is acceptable)
