GNPC 2020 Foreign Scholarships for Ghanaian Students (Ghana)

The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation’s (GNPC) Foreign Scholarship is a highly selective full scholarship offered to Ghanaians to further their studies abroad. The awards are for masters and PhD studies.

The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) is Ghana’s National Oil Company (NOC), established in 1983 by PNDC Law 64, to support the government's objective of providing adequate and reliable supply of petroleum products and reducing the country's dependence on crude oil imports, through the development of the country’s own petroleum resources. GNPC Foreign Scholarships

Aim and Benefits of GNPC Foreign Scholarships

1. Approved airfare to and from your home country to the country of study and back after studies.
2. Approved tuition fees
3. Stipend (living allowance)
4. Book Allowance
5. One-time Warm clothing allowance, where applicable
6. Dissertation allowance
7. Provision towards the cost of fieldwork undertaken overseas (usually the cost of one economy class return airfare to your fieldwork location), where approved.

Requirements for GNPC Foreign Scholarships Qualification

1. Applicant must be Ghanaian.
2. Preferred study areas are Mathematics,Science,Technology,Engineering,Special-needs education.
3. Have obtained admission to undertake a masters or PhD program.
4. Must hold a first degree of at least second-class upper (for Masters applicant), and a relevant postgraduate qualification (for PhD applicant).
5. Be permanently resident in Ghana.
6. Be available to start your academic studies by the start of the academic year you are applying.
7. Not pursuing a PhD or Masters degree at the time of application.
8. Applicants holding offer from Tuition free universities are highly preferable
