Heinrich Böll Foundation 2025 Scholarship for Graduates and Doctoral Students

The scholarship department of the Heinrich Böll Foundation grants scholarships to graduates, and doctoral students from outside Germany. An application for a scholarship for an undergraduate degree is not possible.

Scholarship

Aim and Benefits of Scholarship

Varies, like the German BAföG, according to parental income or own assets or earnings: max. €855 plus €300 study costs allowance per month; possibly plus family, childcare allowance, health insurance or similar 

Requirements for Scholarship Qualification

Master’s degree or after intermediate diploma/ examination; copy of the first degree certificate / proof of first professional qualification must be provided 

Application Deadline

How to Apply

1. Gather information on the application process and the requested documents
2. Register for the online application portal
3. Provide the requested information in the Online Application Portal
4. After uploading all of your documents, submit your application before the end of the application deadline
