About Institute of African and Diaspora Studies (IADS)

The overriding goal of the Institute is to provide a platform for all academics in Nigeria, Africa and the Diaspora, to discuss and proffer solutions to the problems that we confront as a people. The Institute also aims to bring all scholars and persons interested in African and Diaspora Studies together. Successful candidates wiill receive $1,000.00 each.

Requirements for IADS Rahamon Bello Award Qualification

Doctoral theses defended in the last two(2) years in any recognized university in Africa on issues addressing Africa and/or African diaspora. Applicants must be engaged in research in an academic institution in Africa.

How to Apply

Electronic (pdf) copy of thesis, evidence of Ph.D award, Curriculum Vitae and write-up of 500 words maximum on why the thesis deserves the award should be sent to: [email protected] on or before 30th of  October, 2020.
