IMD MBA5 Scholarship 2026

The IMD MBA5 scholarship is named for the 5th graduating class (1976) – alumni who are passionate about passing forward the incredible educational experience they once enjoyed. Multiple scholarships of CHF 50’000 each may be awarded each year to applicants who demonstrate the potential to make a unique contribution to the overall learning experience of the class and make an impact as an IMD ambassador after graduation.

At the behest of the MBA5 alumni, the scholarships will be distributed across all continents, to ensure equal opportunities for applicants from Africa/Middle East, Asia/Oceania, Europe, North America, and South America.

• Excellence in previous academic and/or professional endeavors, including GPA (or equivalent) and GMAT/GRE scores
• Convince us of your ambition and ability to use your education to pursue a leadership role
• Demonstrate career progression and international exposure
• Performance during the Assessment Day
• Essay: As an IMD MBA5 scholarship recipient, how can you contribute to the learning experience of your class and make an impact beyond graduation? (750 words)

How to Apply

• Please complete the scholarship application in the Program section of your MBA application form.
• Before you apply to the program, we strongly recommend that you evaluate the investment needed and investigate the various financing options available to you. An overview of the program fees, payment schedule and estimated living expenses can be found by clicking here.
• Please note that you may apply for multiple scholarships, however scholarships are non-cumulative, therefore you will not be selected for more than one. In addition, scholarships are reserved for those who are not sponsored.
