Requirements for Grantham Institute Widening Participation Scholarship Master's Scholarship Qualification

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be a UK-based student applying for the MSc Cleantech Innovation and meet one of the following categories:

Recent graduates

• you completed your undergraduate degree within the last five academic years and received funding from Student Finance England, Wales or Northern Ireland, including 100% of the government-funded maintenance loan, based on a household income of £25,000 or less in your final year of study
• or you were eligible for the full maintenance loan based on a household income of £25,000 or less, but received a bursary that covered all costs

Applicants returning to study

• you completed your undergraduate degree more than five academic years ago and are currently receiving one or more means-tested benefits
• or you can provide evidence, such as a P60 or HMRC self-assessment, showing that your income in the previous tax year was less than £25,000

If selected, you will need to provide evidence of your financial background, such as confirmation of your undergraduate loan or other supporting documents.

Please note that this scholarship is not available to continuing students.

Please note: This scholarship is available to new entrants only. Students already studying the course are not eligible.

Application Deadline

How to Apply

• To apply for this scholarship, you must first apply online for the MSc Cleantech Innovation course and receive a College ID number.
• Once you have received an offer, you should email [email protected] to ask to be considered for the scholarship. In your email, please explain how you meet the eligibility criteria and why you would like to be considered.
• The deadline for submission is 01/06/2026. Shortlisted applicants may be invited to interview, possibly by MS Teams. Applicants will be notified by email as soon as possible after the deadline, and a final decision is expected by the end of July 2026.
