The Kolio Ficheto Bulgarian Engineering Scholarship is awarded to Bulgarian Citizens who are interested in studying a three-year or four-year full-time undergraduate course at Imperial College London.

• Full Tuition & £16,500 stipend per annum, up to 4 years.

• Chemical Engineering
• Computing
• Design Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering

Requirements for Imperial College London Undergraduate Scholarship Qualification

To be eligible, candidates must have attained the conditions below by Friday, 29 May 2026:

• Possess an Overseas fee status;
• Being Bulgarian nationality;
• Have an offer of admissions from the university to study a three-year or four-year full-time undergraduate course in the designated Departments or School listed below starting in autumn 2026-27;
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Computing
  • Dyson School of Design Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
• Being educated at a state funded high school in Bulgaria; and
• The household income of £70,000 or under per year

Please note: This scholarship is not available to continuing students.

How to Apply

There is no open application form. Qualified candidates will be invited to complete an online application in June 2026. 

In the application, you will be required to write and upload a personal statement in PDF format with the guidelines below:

• Explain your personal situation and the barriers you have faced in continuing your education.
• Provide some information about your family's financial income and circumstances that you would like to make us aware of, or would like us to take into consideration when assessing your financial need. 
• Will you have other means to financially support yourself at Imperial other than this scholarship?
