Applications for the KNB Scholarship Year 2023/2024 begin on 16th January 2023 for Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral programs.
Beasiswa Kemitraan Negara Berkembang, popularly known as KNB Scholarship, is a prestigious scholarship program offered by the government of Republic of Indonesia to selected applicants originating from developing countries. Managed by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, the scholarship has been disbursed since 2006 to 1,608 recipients from 97 countries.
The role of KNB Scholarship, has been central in supporting Indonesian higher education institutions in their endeavor for internationalization. The number of international students is indicative of global visibility of higher education institutions. In support of Indonesian universities’ internationalization and to accommodate the increasing interests from applicants all around the world, the number of scholarships being awarded every year has continued to grow.
The scholarship has also been continuing to expand its partnership with reputable public and private universities in the country. In doing so, the scholarship has been sustaining the quality improvement of Indonesian higher education institutions in order to meet the standards of internationally reputable universities.

The KNB Scholarship covers:
A Settlement Allowance of IDR 1,500,000 will be given to new students upon their arrival in Indonesia;
While taking the Indonesian language course and preparatory programs, the new students will only receive a living allowance and book allowance that will be distributed monthly;
During the Academic Program, the KNB students will receive a monthly allowance that consists of a living allowance and a research and book allowance;
Health insurance with a maximum of IDR 400,000 monthly premium (In case of the cost of medical services exceeded those covered by the health insurance, the difference should be borne by the student);
A round-trip international airfare (economy class) from the international airport of the student’s home country to Indonesia, including local transport to the host university
The maximum age to apply for the scholarship is 25 years old.
Hold a High School degree (please provide the scanned degree certi?cate and academic transcripts in English). Please be advised that bachelor degree holder is not eligible to apply for the bachelor Degree scholarship.
Have the English Pro?ciency Test Score as follows: IBT TOEFL of 80, IELTS of 6.0, TOEIC of 700 (the certi?cate must be obtained within the last 2 Years).
Provide the recommendation letter to apply for the KNB scholarship from the Indonesian Embassy or the Indonesian Consulate General.
Provide recommendation letter to apply for the KNB scholarship from The employer/immediate supervisor.
Provide Academic Recommendation Letter from previous schools.
Prove of citizenship (O?cial Passport or Personal ID).
Complete the online application form in http://knb.kemdikbud.go.id

The maximum age to apply for the scholarship is 40 years old.
Hold a master degree (please provide the scanned degree certi?cate and academic transcripts in English). Please be advised that Doctorate degree holder is not eligible to apply.
Obtain a recommendation letter from the potential research supervisor in one of the universities providing partner of the KNB Scholarship.
Provide a statement of purpose that at least states the purpose of their studies, the origin of their interests in studying in Indonesia and pursuing their chose research topic and their plans for the academic future (dissertation proposal).
Have a TOEFL or IELTS (or other certi?ed English Pro?ciency Test) score of 90 TOEFL IBT or 7.0 IELTS or equivalent (the certi?cate must be obtained within the last 2 Years).
Provide the recommendation letter to apply for the KNB scholarship from the Indonesian Embassy or the Indonesian Consulate General.
Attach a letter of recommendation for the KNB Scholarship application from the employer/direct supervisor
Prove of citizenship (O?cial Passport or Personal ID).
Attach a letter of recommendation from previous universities.
Complete the online application form in http://knb.kemdikbud.go.id

Submit the Invitation letter, Passport, Academic Certificates and Academic Transcripts to the Indonesian Embassy or Indonesian Consulate to acquire the recommendation letter.
