We are looking for postgraduate students athletes who can add value to our performance programmes, and compete for Loughborough University in the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) competition.
Loughborough University (abbreviated as Lough for post-nominals) is a public research university located in the market town of Loughborough, Leicestershire, in the East Midlands of England. It has been a university since 1966, but the institution dates back to 1909, when the then Loughborough Technical Institute began with a focus on skills and knowledge which would be directly applicable in the wider world. Sports Scholarship
Performance squad members receive thousands of pounds worth of support, incorporating coaching, strength and conditioning, sports medicine, sports science, nutrition, psychology, lifestyle and academic flexibility. In addition to this incredible support, our sport scholarships provide direct financial support.
We have performance programmes for athletics, badminton, basketball, cricket, cycling, football, hockey, netball, rugby union, squash, swimming, tennis, triathlon and women's wheelchair basketball.
International Sports Student Postgraduate Bursary
The standard for the award of bursaries is high, and the selection panel will be looking for the very highest academic and sporting achievers, so do ensure that your application is clear, and reflects your academic abilities, sporting achievements and motivation.
Students should submit an official application for their chosen postgraduate programme, and preferably have been offered a conditional place to study before applying for this bursary. We won't consider applications without a postgraduate application number and confirmation of offer.
We currently have performance programmes in athletics, badminton, basketball, cricket, cycling, football, field hockey, netball, rugby union, swimming, squash, tennis and triathlon. We would also consider lacrosse.
