LPDP 2025 Specialist and Subspecialist Doctor Scholarships

This scholarship is intended to support the availability of human resources for Specialist Doctors, Specialist Dentists, and Subspecialist Doctors in order to fulfill the fulfillment and equal distribution of specialist services in Indonesia.

The Specialist and Subspecialist Doctor Scholarship Program is a collaborative scholarship program between LPDP and the Ministry of Health which is intended to support the availability of human resources for Specialist Doctors and Subspecialist Doctors in order to fulfill and equalize specialist services in Indonesia.

The target of the LPDP Scholarship program for Specialist Doctors and Subspecialist Doctors are Indonesian citizens (WNI) who work as doctors and have a Registration Certificate (STR).

Requirements for Specialist and Subspecialist Doctor Scholarships Qualification

What are the general requirements for applicants for specialist and subspecialist doctor scholarships?

The general requirements for Specialist and Subspecialist Doctor Scholarships are as follows:

1. Indonesian citizens.
2. Actively working as a civil servant doctor or non-civil servant doctor.
3. Have a valid General Practitioner Registration Certificate (STR) for Specialist Doctor applicants or Specialist Doctor STR for Subspecialist Doctor applicants issued by the Indonesian Medical Council (KKI).
4. For applicants who are graduates of foreign universities at previous levels of education, it is mandatory to attach:
   1. diploma equivalency results from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology via the page https://kemdiktisaintek.go.id or the Ministry of Religious Affairs via the page https://diktis.kemenag.go.id/penyetaraanijazah/
   2. GPA conversion results from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology via the page https://kemdiktisaintek.go.id or the Ministry of Religious Affairs via the page https://diktis.kemenag.go.id/penyetaraanijazah/
   3. A screenshot of the application for diploma equivalency and/or GPA conversion on the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology or Ministry of Religious Affairs website regarding diploma equivalency and GPA conversion for applicants whose diploma equivalency and/or GPA conversion have not yet been issued. The screenshot must display the applicant's identity.
5. Applicants who are currently studying ( on going ) can register with the following conditions:
   1. Registering for a study program and/or university that is different from the one currently being studied;
   2. Applicants who pass the substance selection are required to make and sign a letter of resignation addressed to the university for the study program they are currently pursuing and submit the letter to LPDP no later than 14 (fourteen) calendar days after the announcement of passing the substance selection via the LPDP assistance ticket channel at the following link https://bantuan.lpdp.kemenkeu.go.id/ .
   3. Applicants are required to submit an official letter of dismissal from the study program or university before signing the Scholarship Recipient Statement Letter.
   4. For applicants who pass the substance selection and do not fulfill the above provisions, LPDP can cancel their status as Prospective Scholarship Recipients.
   5. For applicants who complete their studies and receive a degree before the announcement of the substantive selection, LPDP can cancel their status as a Prospective Scholarship Recipient.
6. Applicants who have completed their master's and/or doctoral programs can register for the Specialist Doctor or Subspecialist Doctor scholarship program.
7. Applicants who have completed their Specialist Doctor education studies are not permitted to apply for the Specialist Doctor scholarship and applicants who have completed their Subspecialist Doctor education studies are not permitted to apply for the Subspecialist Doctor scholarship.
8. Applicants who have studied but not completed their Specialist Doctor or Subspecialist Doctor studies can apply for the LPDP Scholarship at the same level of study, as evidenced by attaching a letter of dismissal/similar as a student from the university.
9. Upload a recommendation letter from the Head (Director) of the hospital issued no later than 1 (one) year in the same month as the scholarship registration time (format attached).
10. For applicants with civil servant and civil servant status in all LPDP scholarship programs, it is mandatory to attach a proposal letter or recommendation letter addressed to LPDP, at least signed by an echelon II level official in charge of human resource development/guidance at the Ministry/Institution or Regional Government where the applicant works with the following provisions:
    1. propose or recommend applicants to participate in the LPDP Scholarship program; and
    2. include the applicant's full name and employee identification number (NIP).
11. For applicants who are graduates of Civil Service Schools who have not been appointed as Civil Servant Candidates (CPNS), they are allowed to register by uploading a certificate from the Ministry/Institution that oversees the school and explaining that the applicant is in the process of being appointed as a CPNS and has received permission to take part in the LPDP scholarship selection as a substitute for a proposal letter from the applicant's institution.
12. Applicants with TNI soldier status in all LPDP scholarship programs are required to attach a proposal letter or recommendation letter addressed to LPDP, at least signed by an official in charge of human resource development/guidance at the TNI/TNI AD/TNI AL/TNI AU Headquarters to participate in the LPDP scholarship program.
13. Applicants with the status of POLRI members in all LPDP scholarship programs are required to attach a proposal letter or recommendation letter addressed to LPDP, at least signed by an official in charge of human resource development/guidance at POLRI Headquarters to participate in the LPDP scholarship program.
14. Select the target university and study program in accordance with LPDP provisions.
15. LPDP scholarships are only intended for regular classes or other classes determined by LPDP, and are not intended for the following classes:
    1. Executive Class,
    2. Special Class,
    3. Employee Class,
    4. Distance Learning Class,
    5. Classes held not at the parent university,
    6. International classes for applicants aiming to study domestically,
    7. Classes held in more than 1 (one) country of higher education, or
    8. Other classes that do not meet LPDP requirements
16. Agree to the statement letter provided in the LPDP scholarship registration application ( points are listed in the attachment ).
17. Write a personal profile including educational history that was not completed (did not graduate) on the registration application.
18. Writing post-study plans and contribution plans in Indonesia.
19. If the applicant has scientific publications, championship/non-championship achievements, and organizational experience, the applicant must fill in the history of scientific publications, championship/non-championship achievements, and organizational experience in the registration application.

What are the Special Requirements for the Specialist Doctor Scholarship?

The special requirements for the Specialist Doctor Scholarship are as follows:

1. Meet the age limit requirements for applicants on December 31 in the year of registration, namely:
   1. Applicants for specialist doctor education must be at most 35 (thirty five) years old.
   2. If you have an Unconditional LoA , the age requirements follow the study program provisions at the target university.
2. Uploading a medical professional diploma document for applicants for the Specialist Doctor Scholarship.
3. Applicants for the Specialist Doctor education level must have a GPA of at least 3.00 on a scale of 4.00 for undergraduate education and/or medical profession as evidenced by an original transcript or a photocopy of the transcript that has been legalized.
4. Upload a valid English language proficiency certificate document that is valid for the last 2 (two) years, calculated up to the date of the announcement of the objection results for the current registration period ( September 8, 2025 ) . The certificate is issued by:
   1. ETS ( ets.org );
   2. PTE Academic ( pearsonpte.com ); or
   3. IELTS ( ielts.org ) with the following conditions:
      1. Minimum English language proficiency score TOEFL ITP® 475, TOEFL iBT® 57, IELTS™ 5.5, or PTE Academic 43.
      2. A valid TOEFL ITP certificate is one issued by the official TOEFL ITP test organizing institution in Indonesia.
      3. For applicants who already have an Unconditional LoA according to the Higher Education Institution and Study Program targeted for the Specialist Doctor Scholarship, an official English language proficiency certificate document is not required.
5. Upload a valid General Practitioner Registration Certificate (STR) issued by the Indonesian Medical Council (KKI).
6. Upload a Power of Attorney that has been signed by the applicant and has been affixed with a valid Rp. 10,000 stamp (conventional stamp/e-stamp) to the Ministry of Health to collect the Specialist Doctor STR for specialist doctor applicants from KKI after completing their studies (format attached).
7. Upload a letter of consent from the husband/wife/parent/guardian placed throughout Indonesia according to national requirements which has been signed by the husband/wife/parent/guardian and has been affixed with a valid Rp. 10,000 stamp (conventional stamp/e-stamp) (format attached).
8. Applicants upload documents according to the requirements via the LPDP scholarship registration page.

What are the special requirements for registration as a Subspecialist Doctor?

The specific requirements for the Subspecialist Doctor Scholarship are as follows:

1. Meet the age limit requirements for applicants on December 31 in the year of registration, namely:
   1. Applicants for subspecialist doctor education must be at most 45 (forty-five) years old.
   2. If you have an Unconditional LoA , the age requirements follow the study program provisions at the target university.
2. Upload specialist doctor diploma documents for Subspecialist Doctor Scholarship applicants.
3. Applicants for the Subspecialist Doctor education level must have a GPA of at least 3.00 on a scale of 4.00 for the specialist doctor professional level, as evidenced by an original transcript or a photocopy of a legalized transcript.
4. Upload a valid Specialist Doctor Registration Certificate (STR) issued by the Indonesian Medical Council (KKI).
5. Upload a Power of Attorney that has been signed by the applicant and has been affixed with a valid Rp. 10,000 stamp (conventional stamp/e-stamp) to the Ministry of Health to collect the Subspecialist Doctor STR for Subspecialist Doctor applicants from KKI after completing their studies (format attached).
6. Upload a letter of consent from the husband/wife/parent/guardian placed throughout Indonesia according to national requirements which has been signed by the husband/wife/parent/guardian and has been affixed with a valid Rp. 10,000 stamp (conventional stamp/e-stamp) (format attached).

1. Register online on the LPDP Scholarship Registration site: https://beasiswalpdp.kemenkeu.go.id/ .
2. Complete and upload all required documents on the registration application.
3. Make sure to submit the registration application to get the registration code.
