The University of Macau (UM) is now accepting applications for its doctoral, master’s, and postgraduate certificate programmes for the 2027/2028 academic year. Applicants can submit their applications directly through UM’s official website. The deadline for the first batch of doctoral programme applications is 23 October 2026, while the deadline for master’s and postgraduate certificate programme applications is 3 December 2026.

Aim and Benefits of University of Macau Scholarships Postgraduate Scholarship
PhD Scholarship:
- UMPS provides each awardee with a monthly stipend of MOP20,000 for a period up to 4 years.
- Tuition fees will be offset by the monthly stipend before stipend disbursement.
Scholarship Package (for Master)
Type A Scholarship:
- 100% waiver of Master’s Degree Programme tuition fee
- 100% waiver of on-campus accommodation fee (shared bedroom)
- Half teaching assistantship (MOP 4,000/month)
Type B Scholarship:
- 100% waiver of Master’s Degree Programme tuition fee
Type C Scholarship:
- International tuition differential waiver (awardees pay the local student tuition rate)
Requirements for University of Macau Scholarships Postgraduate Scholarship Qualification
- Anyone seeking full-time master and PhD degree studies at the UM is eligible to apply, regardless of nationality, ethnic background, or prior work experience.
- Applicants should fulfill all general admission requirements for master and PhD degree programmes and any additional admission requirements for certain programmes.
