McMaster University 2025 Alvina Marie Werner Scholarship in Canada (Up to $3,500.00)

Alvina Marie Werner Scholarship was established in 2008 through a bequest by the late Alvina Marie Werner for graduating student enrolled in a Aging and Society or Social Work program who, in the judgment of the Faculty of Social Sciences, demonstrates outstanding academic achievement and interest in pursuing a career in social services in the specific area of gerontology.

Requirements for McMaster University Alvina Marie Werner Scholarship Qualification

To be awarded to a graduating student enrolled in a Aging and Society or Social Work program who, in the judgment of the Faculty of Social Sciences, demonstrates outstanding academic achievement and interest in pursuing a career in social services in the specific area of gerontology.

Qualifications

  • Applicant must be minimum academic level 3.
  • Applicant must be an undergraduate.
  • Applicant must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Honours program.
  • This award is specific to students in an Aging and Society or Social Work program.
  • This award is not second degree eligible.
  • Applicant must have read, understood and agreed to the Student Declaration.
  • Applicant must be enrolled.
  • Applicant must be graduating this academic year.
  • Applicant must be a current student.
  • Applicant must have a minimum 8.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Applicant must have a minimum 60 graded units.
  • Applicant must have a minimum of 3 sessional graded units
